The Upper Deck
Luck sometimes means having the right friends. Co-Director Christopher Kuiper and I were shooting off emails to request backyards for chase scenes.
We were given the green light for a chase sequence through a killer yard. The location had a garage with a walkable rooftop. This was perfect for the character Otto to scope out the hood.

The Tree
The unexpected gem was a tree with a face carved into it. The tree’s face enhanced the “mask” motif in INDEFINITE perfectly.

Missed A “Face” Moment
We missed a nice visual by not having “The Man in the Mask” lean up next to the tree. In the scene he rests on the side of the garage instead. A few attempts to test this moment should have been captured on tape.
I have no clue if the shots would have meshed in the edit. Still, it was worth a try. In post, we could test both versions and see which rhythm flows naturally.
Thanks A Bunch
Big shoutout to the friend for letting us use their place. The authentic location enhanced our movie.
